Qatar: ‘Neither War Nor Peace’ Situation in Region Unacceptable; Denounces Israeli Smear Campaigns

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Israel has initiated smear campaigns against the nation following the revelation of its actions and movements in the region. Majid Al-Ansari, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicated that Israeli officials are well aware of Qatar’s role and understand that such campaigns will not deter Doha from continuing its efforts.

Al-Ansari asserted that Qatar is a reliable international partner and that the Israeli smear campaigns against it are false and baseless. He highlighted that Qatar’s mediation endeavors and humanitarian activities in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories are documented and internationally recognized.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further stated that Doha will persist in its efforts to maintain regional and international security and peace. He reiterated that the continuation of the ‘neither war nor peace’ situation in the region is unacceptable. Al-Ansari noted that Qatar, in collaboration with regional partners and China, is working towards resuming negotiations between Washington and Iran, stressing the need for political will from both sides to advance diplomacy.

He also pointed out the significant importance of the Strait of Hormuz opening for Qatar and the entire region.
