UK Suspends Arms Exports to Israel Amid Gaza War Crimes Allegations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom has announced the suspension of more than 30 arms export licenses to Israel, with Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband issuing a statement condemning the occupation. The British government will also reject any new licenses for weaponry and items that contribute to the continuation of the occupation.

Miliband further stated that the UK will prohibit the promotion of sales of land in illegal Israeli settlements. He expressed deep shame over the events unfolding in Gaza, witnessed by the global community, and acknowledged the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians by what he termed terrorist settlers in parts of the West Bank.

The Foreign Secretary added that all requests for arms licenses and other exports significantly contributing to the occupation will be refused. Reports indicate the commission of war crimes in Gaza, and the UK supports legal follow-ups on these events, affirming a commitment to holding perpetrators accountable.

The British official emphasized that inaction in the face of blatant injustice will no longer be tolerated. The UK is calling for a new approach in Gaza and the West Bank, and refuses to stand by while the so-called two-state solution is being dismantled.
