US Confirms Submersible Capture in Strategic Waterway

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. official has confirmed an incident involving one of the American military’s unmanned submersibles in the West Asia region, alleging a technical malfunction. The U.S. official attempted to downplay the incident, claiming the submersible was an older model and not equipped with sensitive ‘sonar’ equipment.

Concurrently, a spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in the region, speaking to Al Jazeera, made new claims regarding the capture of the U.S. submersible by Iran. While confirming the loss of one of the country’s subsurface vessels in regional waters, the spokesperson presented a narrative intended to diminish the significance of the action by the Iranian Navy, stating that the vessel had malfunctioned and ceased operation during a mission the previous day.

Earlier, the IRGC’s Navy issued a statement announcing that, with divine assistance, its forces had successfully apprehended one of the most modern intelligent, unmanned submarines belonging to the U.S. terrorist army. The operation, described as a complex intelligence and operational maneuver, took place at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz in the early morning.

The captured submersible is reportedly equipped with the latest global subsurface technology and was delivered to the U.S. terrorist army’s fleet in 2025. The success of the IRGC in capturing this advanced American submersible has garnered widespread coverage in global media.
