Saudi Arabia Intensifies Airstrikes on Yemen’s Provinces Amidst Ongoing Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabian airstrikes have intensified over the past 24 hours, targeting the provinces of Al Jawf and Marib. Data from Al Mayadeen, as reported by Mehr News Agency, indicates that these aerial assaults have focused on key areas within the affected provinces.

Yemen‘s Civil Defense authority announced that the death toll from Saudi attacks on the Al Hazm district in Al Jawf has reached 23 individuals. The widespread bombing campaign by Saudi fighter jets reportedly spanned 43 sorties across the provinces of Marib, Al Jawf, Taiz, and Al Hudaydah, according to Al Masirah.

This renewed and extensive offensive by Riyadh comes despite an earlier decision by Yemen’s Ansarallah movement at the beginning of the current month to de-escalate direct confrontations with Saudi Arabia. Ansarallah had suspended attacks on Saudi infrastructure, particularly oil facilities, and refrained from targeting vessels linked to Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb strait. Nevertheless, Saudi Arabia has launched a broad counter-offensive, providing air cover for its affiliated groups on the internal fronts of Yemen, where conflict flames are increasingly rising.
