Yemeni Armed Forces on Brink of Fully Securing Strategic Port of Mokha

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemeni armed forces are on the verge of fully dominating the strategic port of Mokha, located in the western part of the nation. Reports indicate that these forces have taken control of the Al-Wazi’iyah, Al-Khawkhah, and Hais regions, advancing to the entrances of the vital Mokha port. The Yemeni military has reportedly established dominance over significant areas and military installations within Mokha, situated in the western Taiz Governorate. Key bases, including Khalid Base and Jabal al-Nar Base, which served as the command center for Saudi mercenaries in the western Salih region, are now under Yemeni control. Furthermore, Yemeni media has reported that a substantial number of Saudi mercenaries surrendered to the Yemeni armed forces at Mokha Airport. International news agencies, citing Yemeni government sources, have stated that the Ansarullah movement has seized control of the city of Mokha, effectively dominating approximately 2,600 square kilometers of this strategically important port. Mokha, positioned on the Red Sea coast near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, holds immense strategic value for monitoring Red Sea shipping lanes, facilitating trade, and its military significance in the ongoing conflict. Its fall represents a significant loss of Saudi Arabia’s primary military and logistical base on Yemen’s western coast.
