US Fires Over 80 Missiles to Counter Iranian Attack, Tehran’s Assaults Intensify

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. military personnel fired between 60 to 70 Patriot missiles and over 12 THAAD missiles to counter an Iranian attack, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. and regional officials.

During its lethal strike on a U.S. base in Jordan, Iran reportedly launched only 20 ballistic missiles. However, the United States was compelled to deploy over 80 interceptor missiles to counter this assault, and ultimately, Iranian missiles impacted the U.S. base.

The report indicated that to repel Iran’s attack, the U.S. had to expend interceptor missiles equivalent to its weekly consumption during wartime. Iran’s attacks have become more sophisticated, employing diverse missile types, varied flight paths, advanced warheads, and complex maneuvering tactics, effectively confusing American defense layers.

The newspaper further noted that Iran successfully targeted fighter jets and other aircraft at the Al-Sultani base in Jordan during this offensive.

This comes despite U.S. officials making their customary claims that the base sustained no damage.
