China Affirms Russian Duma Election Results Reflect Public Will

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Monday that Beijing believes the results of Russia’s Duma elections are a reflection of the Russian people’s will. Guo Jiajun, the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made the announcement during a press conference. He noted that the Duma elections were conducted successfully and extended congratulations to Russia on this occasion. Guo added that the Duma elections are a significant event in Russia’s political life, and China supports the independent choices made by the Russian people.

The spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized Beijing’s readiness to continue cooperation with Moscow. He stated that China, as a neighbor and partner of Russia within the framework of comprehensive strategic cooperation in the new era, supports the choices of the Russian people. According to the latest announced results, with 95.97 percent of the votes counted, the United Russia party, led by Vladimir Putin, is leading in 208 out of a total of 225 electoral districts.
