Moroccan Cities Erupt in Protests Against Israel Ties Normalization

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Mayadeen, 45 cities in Morocco have hosted protests and gatherings in recent days against the expansion of diplomatic relations between the country and the Israeli regime, following the announcement to increase the level of relations to the exchange of ambassadors.

The report indicates that 76 protest activities were organized by Moroccans in 45 cities across the nation under slogans supporting Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque and opposing normalization of relations.

Participants in these protests held Palestinian flags and chanted slogans emphasizing the necessity of halting the war against the Gaza Strip and condemning cooperation with the Israeli regime.

These protests took place in major Moroccan cities including Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, Agadir, Tetouan, Kenitra, and Salé.

On September 16th of this year, Morocco and the Israeli regime agreed in New York to elevate the level of their diplomatic relations to the exchange of ambassadors.
