Iraq Confirms US Troop Withdrawal by September 30 Deadline

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces has confirmed that the withdrawal process for American forces and international coalition military personnel from Iraq will be finalized by the end of September.

The U.S. Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, had announced in July that the international coalition’s military mission in Iraq would conclude by the end of September. This action is in line with a pre-agreed timetable between Baghdad and Washington.

U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth met with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi at the Pentagon to discuss the conclusion of the international coalition’s mission.

Earlier, Haider Al-Aboudi, spokesperson for the Iraqi government, had stated that while proposals were made to extend the presence of foreign soldiers in the country, the Iraqi government rejected these suggestions.
