Netanyahu Claims Israel Warned UK of Attack on Fairford Airbase, Iran Involvement Alleged

Israeli Prime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that Israel had alerted British authorities to an impending attack on Fairford airbase, which he claimed was Iran-backed. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham suggested Iran’s involvement in the incident, though investigations are ongoing.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Tel Aviv provided information to British officials prior to an incident near the Fairford airbase in the United Kingdom, indicating that an attack was imminent and supported by Iran.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham had previously alleged that Iran played a role in the Fairford incident, while simultaneously emphasizing that police investigations into the matter were still underway.

In response to these accusations from the British Prime Minister, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, stated that the Burnham administration “can confirm that it believes Iran was involved in the incident at the Royal Air Force Fairford airbase.”

He further commented, “The fact that you released individuals who, in your words, were terrorists and in the service of foreign governments, speaks volumes.”

Araghchi concluded by noting, “You are looking for the culprit in the wrong place.”
