Belarus Warns European Nations Against Underestimating Russia’s Nuclear Capabilities

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Belarus’s Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov has advised European nations seeking to weaken Russia to not overlook the country’s nuclear power and its nuclear triad. Ryzhenkov made these remarks in an interview with RIA Novosti, as reported by the Mehr News Agency.
He noted that some European circles believe that by leveraging their higher Gross Domestic Product and larger populations, which allow for greater mobilization potential, European countries could prepare for a potential confrontation with Russia by 2029 or 2030 and ultimately defeat the nation if a conflict were to arise.
Responding to such assessments from certain European quarters, the Belarusian Foreign Minister stated, “Do not forget Russia’s nuclear triad and its specific capabilities and achievements, which you do not possess.”
Ryzhenkov emphasized that the assessment of Russia’s capabilities in a potential confrontation should not be based solely on economic and demographic indicators. He stressed that Russia’s strategic capabilities and military experience must also be taken into account in these calculations.
These statements come amidst recent discussions in Europe concerning the enhancement of defense capabilities and preparedness for a potential confrontation with Russia. Ryzhenkov had previously stated that ordinary citizens of European Union countries do not desire war with Russia, and this pursuit is largely driven by certain European politicians.
