French Protesters Demand Macron’s Exit Over NATO Support for Ukraine

Hundreds of French citizens gathered in Paris to protest against the nation’s continued support for Ukraine, calling for France’s withdrawal from both the European Union and NATO.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, hundreds of people gathered in the center of Paris to protest France‘s ongoing support for Ukraine and demanded the country’s exit from the European Union and NATO. This is according to a report by RIA Novosti correspondent from Paris, citing data published by Mehr News Agency.

The gathering was organized at the invitation of Florian Philippot, leader of the right-wing ‘Patriots’ party and a presidential candidate, in the Place du Palais-Royal in central Paris. Demonstrators carried placards with messages including ‘President of France, we will not die for Ukraine,’ ‘Macron, get out,’ and ‘Support Frexit.’

Speaking to reporters at the rally, the leader of the right-wing ‘Patriots’ party stated, ‘Living, not just surviving; living freely and in peace; this is our message. Behind this issue are important political decisions. We must leave the European Union, we must leave NATO, we must stop financing the war in Ukraine, and we must stop sending weapons to Kyiv.’ He added that the financial resources allocated by French officials for Kyiv should instead be used to reduce fuel taxes in France.
