Trump’s Claims Against Iran Spark Bafflement Among Experts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CNN reported that the recent claims made by Donald Trump against Iran’s nuclear facilities, which were targeted over the past year, have not only stunned ordinary Americans but also surprised experts in the field of Iran’s nuclear program. Trump had asserted that these facilities were akin to drug manufacturing factories.
James Acton, a senior associate in the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, stated, “I heard Trump’s remarks. It’s strange. This is new to me. As far as I know, the Fordow facility has not been used for drug production, and I had not heard any claims to this effect before.”
CNN added that it is evident Trump is mistaken in this regard, but he does not admit to any errors and insists on his position instead of correcting himself. Trump’s statements followed his stance on drugs in the Caribbean region. He made this claim against Iran after a long day of travel from the White House to Texas and then to Oklahoma, undertaking the journey by land.
