Yemen Continues Pardon for Saudi-Affiliated Combatants

Yemen’s Supreme Political Council President, Mahdi al-Mashat, announced the ongoing pardon for individuals fighting alongside Saudi-backed forces, urging its implementation in Taiz province. This initiative aims to de-escalate conflict and foster reconciliation amidst ongoing regional tensions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the pardon for those misled and fighting in the ranks of the Saudi enemy’s mercenaries continues, stated Mahdi al-Mashat, President of Yemen‘s Supreme Political Council. Al-Mashat urged Taiz province officials to activate the pardon mechanism in their region, mirroring successful implementations along the west coast.

He commended the efforts of tribal elders in keeping Taiz insulated from the machinations of the Saudi enemy and acknowledged the vigilance of the province’s residents. Al-Mashat further elaborated that these plots are orchestrated from hotels situated in Riyadh.

The announcement follows recent military developments, including Yemen’s armed forces spokesperson Yahya Saree reporting the expulsion of Saudi-affiliated mercenaries and elements from the eastern sector of Al Jawf province. Additionally, Yemeni forces achieved strategic advances in Taiz province during the past day.
