Iraq Imposes Curfew in Al-Hawija, Kirkuk Following Security Incidents

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi Federal Police Command has declared a curfew in the Al-Hawija district and its villages in Kirkuk province, effective from 6 PM to 6 AM daily. This measure has been implemented in response to recent security shifts in the region.
The command stated that all movement is strictly prohibited during the curfew hours, with enhanced surveillance of motorcycles and vehicles. Any offending motorcycles will be impounded.
Furthermore, the Federal Police Command has prohibited the movement of cargo vehicles during the curfew period, with exceptions only granted for essential cases with official authorization.
The Iraqi Federal Police urged citizens to adhere to the announced directives and cooperate with security forces to maintain the security and well-being of the area. The command warned that violators will face legal prosecution.
Earlier on Monday evening, a security source in Kirkuk reported that one person was killed and four others were injured in an attack on a position of the Third Battalion of the Ninth Brigade of the Federal Police in the Al-Barghliya – Al-Danadis area of Al-Hawija.
