Student Fatally Stabbed in Istanbul High School Attack

A tragic incident at a high school in Istanbul has resulted in the death of one student and injuries to several others, following an attack by a fellow student.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin officially confirmed the death of a student in an incident at the Martyr Şamil İmam Hatip High School in Istanbul. He stated that despite the efforts of medical staff, the student succumbed to severe injuries in the hospital.

The Turkish Minister of Health provided an update on the condition of seven other students, reporting that five of the injured are in stable condition, while two others are in moderate condition.

Information released by the Governor of Istanbul indicated that the assailant is a 15-year-old student who entered the educational facility in school uniform this morning. Without targeting any specific individual, the attacker assaulted students in the schoolyard and classrooms. School security personnel immediately apprehended the assailant and handed them over to the police, where they are currently in custody.

Following this somber event, the management of the high school announced a two-day suspension of educational activities.

In a judicial action, the Third Peace Court of Istanbul issued an order prohibiting the publication of any news, interviews, or statements concerning the incident until the conclusion of the investigation.
