Armenia Values Deep Relations With Iran, Foreign Minister Says

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Armenian Foreign Minister and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan has revealed details of his recent trip to Iran during a parliamentary Q&A session. Responding to a question from Member of Parliament Arousiak Manavazyan, Mirzoyan discussed the comprehensive agenda of his visit.
Mirzoyan stated that he engaged in discussions with senior Iranian officials and his counterparts on the full spectrum of bilateral relations. These conversations encompassed political dialogue, the strategic nature of the relationship, and economic and infrastructural matters. International and regional developments were also subjects of exchange.
Regarding freight and air transport, Mirzoyan reiterated Armenia’s readiness to deepen ties with Iran, acknowledging limitations imposed by international sanctions. “We place great value and importance on our relations with Iran and will not risk them,” the Armenian minister affirmed.
He further noted that the issue of freight congestion and accumulation in Iranian customs areas is being seriously examined by relevant institutions. Mirzoyan indicated that technical solutions are available and are expected to be implemented in the coming days.
