Knife Attack in Polish School Leaves at Least 8 Injured
A knife attack at a school in northeastern Poland on Wednesday resulted in at least eight injuries, with emergency services confirming five children and three adults were hospitalized. The 19-year-old assailant, a student at the institution, was apprehended shortly after fleeing the scene.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a knife attack occurred at a school in the northeastern Polish city of Ostrołęka on Wednesday, leaving at least eight people injured. Adrian Stoepski, a fire brigade official, informed the Polish news network RMF FM that the injured, comprising five children and three adults, were transported to the hospital. The alleged assailant, identified as a 19-year-old student at the same school, was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene. Marcin Sawicki, a police spokesperson, told the Polish Press Agency that the attacker also sustained injuries.
