Saudi Arabia Launches Widespread Airstrikes Across Yemen, Targeting Key Infrastructure

Saudi Arabian fighter jets have conducted extensive airstrikes across Yemen, hitting the capital, strategic provinces, and coastal areas, including vital infrastructure such as airports and telecommunications networks.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabian fighter jets have launched widespread airstrikes targeting various regions of Yemen, including the capital and several provinces, according to Yemeni media citing Mehr News Agency. The raids encompassed a broad range of geographical areas, including the capital, strategic provinces, and coastal zones.

Field reports indicate that Saudi aircraft struck areas such as Al-Shamaytayn in the southern Taiz province, specifically targeting Al-Zekirah, Al-Masaheen, and Al-Zaazee.

Simultaneously, airstrikes aimed at destroying infrastructure were carried out in the north and northwest of Sanaa. Among the targets was the ‘Samaa Al-Nahda’ factory, which produces sponge and building materials, located in the Al-Jumana area.

Reports suggest that the Saudi attacks were not confined to inland areas and also targeted critical infrastructure. In this regard, the Red Sea coastal Hodeidah International Airport, along with telecommunications networks in the Bani Matar region west of Sanaa and Jabal Barad in the Raymah province, were subjected to repeated strikes.

In another development, Saudi Arabian fighter jets expanded the scope of their operations by targeting the border district of Al-Dhaher in Saada province and conducting seven bombing runs on the city of Yarim in the Ibb province.

These aerial assaults come at a time when regional tensions in Yemen have escalated to a new level, with increased Saudi military activities in strategic locations.
