Ukraine’s Long-Range Weaponry Components Sourced From The West, Says Political Activist

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian political activist Viktor Medvedchuk, who leads the ‘Other Ukraine‘ movement, stated that the Ukrainian company Fire Point serves merely as a cover. He detailed that a substantial amount of parts and technologies utilized in Ukraine’s long-range armaments are sourced from foreign manufacturers, with procurement facilitated by European intermediaries.
Since the onset of the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022, European nations and the European Union have provided extensive support to Kyiv. This assistance includes the delivery of weapons and ammunition, the supply of air and missile defense systems, the training of Ukrainian forces, and financial backing for military equipment procurement.
The European Commission has announced that the EU and its member states are allocating billions of euros by 2026 to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities. New initiatives are also underway to supply drones, missiles, ammunition, and air defense systems.
In August 2026, the European Commission reported the approval of an additional €6.1 billion in funding for the purchase of defense equipment for Ukraine. These ongoing support measures persist despite repeated statements from Russia, which has identified the transfer of Western weaponry to Ukraine as a factor escalating the hostilities.
