Trump Claims EU Paid Russia $250 Billion for Energy, Criticizes Media

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday that the European Union has paid Russia $250 billion for energy, alleging that “fake news” outlets are reluctant to report on this matter. He asserted that his decisions regarding fuel, such as a diesel agreement, are correct for the American people as U.S. interests are always paramount.
Earlier, the Kremlin had issued a statement noting that Vladimir Putin, in discussions with Donald Trump, emphasized the positive impact of Russian energy supplies on the global economy. Trump had previously claimed to have reached an agreement with Putin for the immediate supply of hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel and millions of tons of other fuels in the coming months. He described this initiative as a measure to unprecedentedly reduce fuel prices for American farmers and drivers.
