US Embassy in Saudi Arabia Renews Security Warnings for Third Consecutive Day

The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia has extended its security advisory for the third consecutive day, citing recent attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia renewed its security advisory on Monday for the third day in a row. These warnings, issued on October 10, 11, and 12, reference recent attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and the Sunday attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

The embassy stated that U.S. government personnel require special authorization to use the airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. The mission also urged American citizens to exercise “maximum caution” when using major Saudi airports due to the potential for flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions.

The U.S. Embassy advised travelers to monitor their flight status directly with airlines and airports and to consider personal vehicles, trains, and buses as alternatives to air travel if necessary.

Under the advisory, U.S. government personnel are also prohibited from traveling within 20 miles of the Yemen border. Special authorization is required for travel to the provinces of Jizan, Asir, and Najran, as well as the cities of Qatif, Yanbu, and Taif. The embassy has asked American citizens to follow local media developments and adhere to the directives of Saudi authorities during any aerial attacks.

These warnings were issued following a series of attacks on Riyadh’s airport. According to Saudi officials and diplomatic sources, the weekend attacks on the airport resulted in a total of 14 deaths and 320 injuries.
