Israeli Defense Minister Threatens Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Citing Iran Alliance

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has issued a strong warning to Hezbollah, stating the Lebanese group will face severe repercussions if it joins Iran in any attack against Israel.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, asserting that the Lebanese militant group will suffer a harsh blow if it aligns with Iran in an attack against Israel.

Katz claimed that the Israeli military is prepared to seize control of additional areas in Lebanon should Hezbollah forces intervene and join Iran. He further alleged that if Hezbollah were to join Iran in an assault on Israel, more territory in southern Lebanon would be lost, with cities like Nabatieh and the Litani River region potentially becoming Israeli security zones.

The Israeli Defense Minister also threatened that the southern suburb of Beirut, Dahiyeh, would be evacuated if Hezbollah were to join Iran in any offensive against Israel. Katz further asserted that Israel has no intention of withdrawing from its established security zones in Lebanon and Syria.

These declarations from the Israeli Defense Minister come amidst ongoing Israeli military incursions into Syria, particularly in the southern regions, and continued aerial bombardment, artillery shelling, and destructive actions in southern Lebanon. Israel currently occupies territories in southern Lebanon and has shown no indication of withdrawing from these areas.
