German and Portuguese Foreign Ministers Reaffirm Unwavering Support for Ukraine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and her Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel, speaking at a joint press conference in Berlin, affirmed their countries’ steadfast support for Ukraine. Baerbock stated, “We believe that in the current situation, making concessions to the aggressor would send a completely wrong signal.”
The German Foreign Minister also characterized recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump as being “within the framework of the final stage of the American election campaign.” She added, “In my opinion, we must focus on the core issue: that the United States continues to stand with us in supporting Ukraine.”
The Portuguese Foreign Minister, addressing the press conference, echoed the sentiment, stating, “In this difficult geopolitical situation, we share a common view that includes defending multilateralism, promoting peace, and unwavering solidarity with Ukraine.” These statements come as U.S. President Donald Trump has recently advocated for lifting sanctions on Russian diesel fuel and called for elections to change the Ukrainian president.
