Egyptian President El-Sisi Confirms 2030 Exit from Presidency

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced that 2030 will be the definitive end of his presidential tenure in Egypt. Speaking at the graduation ceremony for new cohorts at Egypt’s military academies and colleges, El-Sisi reiterated that his departure from the presidency in 2030 is entirely certain.
The Egyptian President stressed that the primary objective moving forward is to reinforce the nation’s foundations and empower young, specialized national forces across various sectors. This, he explained, will ensure a smooth and stable transition, contributing to the consolidation of Egypt’s state institutions. El-Sisi stated, “My duty is to protect the country and hand over its flag held high and proud.”
Referring to the Egyptian armed forces, he added, “These forces are the main pillar of national security, the shield of defense, and the sword of the nation. Preserving and strengthening the armed forces is a national duty incumbent upon all the people of Egypt. Defending the homeland is a shared responsibility that begins with the family, an institution that has been and continues to be the fundamental cornerstone in nurturing and shaping human character.”
