Israel Provides Intelligence Support to Riyadh in Yemen Conflict, Analyst Reveals

An Israeli military analyst has disclosed that Tel Aviv, in coordination with Washington, is supplying intelligence data to Riyadh for its operations in Yemen. The report suggests that while Saudi Arabia is receiving this support, it requires more advanced air defense systems to counter Yemeni missile and drone threats.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli military analyst Ron Ben-Yishai of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper has revealed that Israel has provided intelligence information concerning targets in Yemen to Saudi Arabia. This support is reportedly channeled through the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

Ben-Yishai further stated that Saudi Arabia requires robust air defense systems to effectively counter the ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones launched by the Houthi forces (Ansar Allah). These necessary systems include advanced identification radars and missile defense batteries such as the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow 2 missiles.

Earlier, it was reported that U.S. President Donald Trump had indicated that Saudi Arabia should accept assistance from Israel in its campaign against Yemen, expressing confidence that Riyadh would eventually agree. Trump also commented on the renewed discussions regarding normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia, suggesting the topic is more prominent than ever.

Trump remarked that Saudi Arabia is pleased to receive support from Israel and the United States, emphasizing Israel’s significant utility to Saudi Arabia. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz had previously reported that Israel, through the United States, was attempting to persuade Saudi Arabia to participate in the war against Yemen.

The Haaretz report further claimed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is unconcerned with Israeli assistance in the Yemen conflict, as he believes such involvement could negatively impact public opinion within Saudi Arabia.
