Saudi Attacks on Yemeni Fishermen Result in Over 1,000 Casualties, Rights Group Reports

The Yemeni Center for Human Rights, Ain, reported that at least eight fishermen were killed in a Saudi airstrike on fishing boats off the coast of Al-Kadha, a grim incident continuing a pattern of attacks against the Yemeni populace.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Yemeni Center for Human Rights, Ain, has emphasized that at least eight individuals were martyred during an attack by Saudi warplanes on fishing boats off the coast of Al-Kadha. This incident is part of a series of ongoing atrocities committed by Saudi Arabia against various segments of Yemeni society, particularly fishermen.

The center’s report highlights that since 2015, Saudi attacks targeting Yemeni fishermen have resulted in 1,090 martyrs and wounded individuals. During these assaults, approximately 4,700 fishing boats have been destroyed.

The Yemeni Center for Human Rights has appealed to the international community to intervene and put an end to these inhumane crimes perpetrated by Saudi Arabia. Just last night, the Yemeni Ministry of Health issued a statement detailing that fishermen in the “Dhobab” area of Taiz province, whose livelihood depended solely on the sea, were targeted and killed by forces of the Saudi-led coalition.
