Iran’s Education Ministry Rolls Out AI Training for 4 Million Students

According to the Economic Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dr. Darvishi, head of education affairs at the Planning and Budget Organization, outlined the overarching objectives of the educational sector, emphasizing the critical importance of improving educational quality alongside addressing the livelihood concerns of educators. He underscored that educational quality is a fundamental pillar of the education system and a public demand.
In pursuit of these goals, the Planning and Budget Organization is focusing on generating richer educational content and increasing student access to it. Schools leading in content creation are playing a significant role by equipping studios and leveraging skilled teachers. The content produced is distributed both online and offline across the country, ensuring students in various regions can benefit from high-quality instruction.
Furthermore, the curriculum content is undergoing a thorough review, with necessary funds allocated to the Organization for Research and Educational Planning. The educational system’s approach is also shifting from purely academic instruction to a greater emphasis on skill-building.
Dr. Darvishi highlighted the expansion of artificial intelligence education, stating that this year, four million students have undergone AI training via a shared platform developed in collaboration with the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Planning and Budget Organization. This initiative is seen as a crucial step towards utilizing the potential of modern technologies within the educational framework.
He added that this endeavor will continue with the aim of providing access to an AI-powered teacher assistant. This assistant will support teachers in improving the teaching and learning processes, thereby contributing to the academic advancement of students.
