Former US National Security Advisor Calls for Zelensky’s Resignation for Ukraine Peace

Former U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Flynn has stated that achieving peace in Ukraine necessitates the resignation of President Volodymyr Zelensky and the holding of immediate elections, arguing that his continued leadership could prolong the conflict.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Flynn announced that establishing peace in Ukraine requires the resignation of its President, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the holding of immediate elections. Flynn asserted that Zelensky’s continued tenure in power could prolong the war in Ukraine and urged the United States and the European Union to exert pressure on Kyiv.

The former national security advisor also suggested that a new leadership in Ukraine could pave the way for a different approach to dialogue with Russia, leading to lasting peace rather than a temporary ceasefire. Flynn emphasized that the Ukrainian people must ultimately decide the future of their nation.

These remarks come as Moscow has indicated its readiness to resume trilateral negotiations with Washington and Kyiv in the first half of November. Tensions also persist between U.S. President Donald Trump and Zelensky.
