Yemen Warns Saudi Arabia of Severe Consequences for Tribal Attacks

A Yemeni government spokesperson has issued a strong warning to Saudi Arabia, stating that any aggression against tribal gatherings will result in a significantly different and severe response than in the past. The official condemned Saudi threats against civilian tribal assemblies, deeming them a grave error with far-reaching repercussions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Omar Al-Bukhaiti, spokesperson for the Yemeni government, has condemned Saudi Arabia’s threats against tribal and civilian gatherings in Yemen. He cautioned that any action taken against these assemblies would be met with a response unlike any seen before.

Al-Bukhaiti stated that threatening Yemen’s tribes is a major mistake for which Saudi Arabia will pay a price on various levels. He further asserted that declaring civilian tribal gatherings as military targets reflects the Saudi regime’s political and moral standing and could serve as evidence against the country in accusations of war crimes.

Emphasizing the potential ramifications of threatening Yemeni tribes, Al-Bukhaiti highlighted historical experience, noting that confrontations with the country’s tribes have historically led to failure. He also described these threats as indicative of confusion in the Saudi regime’s decision-making processes.

The Yemeni government spokesperson called upon the tribes, sheikhs, elders, and members of Yemen’s tribal society to maintain readiness and mobilize against Saudi aggression. He underscored that the Yemeni people are engaged in a decisive battle for self-defense and will continue on their path toward achieving complete independence, ending what they term as siege and aggression, and reclaiming their rights.
