US Senators Criticize President Trump Over War with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Chris Murphy have separately taken to social media platform X to voice their strong disapproval of President Donald Trump‘s administration regarding the joint U.S. and Israeli campaign against Iran. The senators’ criticisms stem from reports originating from Al Jazeera and published by the Mehr News Agency.
Senator Warren highlighted the heavy toll of the conflict, stating that at least 23 American service members have been killed. Furthermore, she pointed out the substantial financial expenditure, estimating that over $45 billion in American taxpayer funds have been allocated to the war effort. Approaching its eighth month, Warren questioned the war’s achievements and its projected end date, noting a lack of clear objectives or resolution timelines.
Senator Murphy likewise condemned the U.S. administration’s strategic approach, writing that President Trump initiated a war with Iran without a concrete plan to safeguard American military personnel, diplomats, or the nation’s multi-billion-dollar bases. He expressed that every citizen should be incensed by this situation, characterizing it as the peak of incompetence.
