Brent Crude Oil Price Surges Past $115, Reaching 5-Month High Amid Regional Tensions

Brent crude oil prices have surged past $115 per barrel, marking a five-month high, as escalating regional tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to vessels contribute to the unprecedented price record.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Brent crude oil prices have risen to $115 per barrel for the first time in five months, according to data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen. This figure reportedly represents the highest price for Brent crude futures contracts since the Ramadan war in March 2025. Coinciding with the oil price increase and surpassing the $115 mark, stock exchanges in the United States and Asia turned red, setting new unprecedented records. The record-breaking surge in oil prices follows intensified tensions in the region and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to offending vessels.
