October Sees Record Attacks on Commercial Shipping in Strait of Hormuz, Contradicting Trump’s Claims

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a report by Reuters, citing data from a Washington-based research center, indicates a marked increase in assaults on commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz and its adjoining maritime passages throughout October.
The data highlights that October recorded the highest number of attacks against vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waterways, with a total of 28 incidents. This brings the cumulative figure to 113 attacks since the commencement of U.S. actions against Iran on February 28.
A majority of these hostile actions in the Strait of Hormuz occurred during the months of September and October.
This development stands in stark contrast to recent statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that Iran fabricates news concerning operations against vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and alleged mine explosions, asserting these reports lack veracity.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly informed various nations that they must adhere to the designated transit routes established by Tehran in the Strait of Hormuz, warning of punitive measures for non-compliance.
Furthermore, the International Maritime Organization has confirmed that 11 oil tankers experienced incidents within the Strait of Hormuz during the month of October.
