Yemeni Official Condemns Saudi Coalition War Crimes in Taiz

A senior Yemeni official has strongly condemned the ongoing Saudi coalition airstrikes against civilian infrastructure and markets in Taiz, labeling the attacks as deliberate war crimes.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen‘s Supreme Political Council, has strongly denounced the persistent Saudi military aggression targeting local markets, civilian facilities, and residential areas across the country.

The senior Yemeni official emphasized that the passage of time will never erase the devastating impacts of these hostile actions, which have persisted against Yemen and its vital civilian infrastructure over the past 12 years. He further noted that such aggressive tactics will fail to deliver any strategic victories or meaningful achievements for the Saudi regime.

Previously, Yemen’s Supreme Political Council issued a formal statement vehemently condemning the deadly assault on civilians at the Al-Waza’iyah market in Taiz Governorate, alongside all similar atrocities directed at non-military targets. The council explicitly held the Saudi government directly responsible for these massacres and their extensive legal and humanitarian consequences, stressing that ongoing violations against civilians, marketplaces, and the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen will not go unanswered.

The latest tragedy unfolded during a Friday morning assault when Saudi forces targeted the Al-Hadharah market in the Al-Waza’iyah district of Taiz Governorate during peak shopping hours. The devastating strike resulted in casualties among more than 30 civilians, leaving dozens killed and wounded.
