According to the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Wang Wenbin, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, stated in a press conference that Beijing continues to play a positive role between Tehran and Islamabad. Regarding the latest developments between Iran and Pakistan after last week’s attacks on each other’s territory, the Associated Press Pakistan news agency said: “China has a close relationship with Iran and Pakistan. I want to emphasize that Iran and Pakistan are two friendly neighbors and both are good friends of China.” He continued: “China is committed to maintaining regional and international peace and stability, and Iran and Pakistan continue to support resolving differences through dialogue and consultation. We would like to continue to play a positive and constructive role in improving Iran-Pakistan relations based on the needs of both countries.”
