Kazakhstan demanded the participation of Europe in the construction of an international port in this country

According to the Fars News Agency reporter in Astana, “Marat Karabayev” the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, in a meeting with “Georges Gilkint”, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Belgium, proposed to establish communication between cargo transport companies and invited European companies. Kurdistan to participate in the creation of an international port and logistics cluster in the ports of “Aktau” and “Korik”.
He welcomed the active participation of international companies in stimulating the potential of the middle corridor.
In this meeting, the expansion of transport corridors between Europe and Kazakhstan, as well as the development and strengthening of long-term beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport were discussed.
In order to further develop the ports of “Aktau” and “Korik”, Karabayev suggested signing agreements with the European Union, which would allow the loading of goods from the west to the east, receiving transportation subsidies along the Trans-Caspian transportation route, and developing the infrastructure and terminal network in provide the length of the route.
In this meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Transport of Belgium accepted the invitation to participate in the New Silk Road Association and also made mutually beneficial proposals in the fields of civil aviation, commercial transportation and road transport.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their appreciation for the business talks and emphasized the importance of further development of relations between Kazakhstan and Belgium.
On the same day, the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, as part of the participation in the Global Getaway Investment Forum, signed a memorandum of understanding with the European Investment Bank on financial resources provided for the promotion and development of Kazakhstan’s transport sector in the framework of transport lines between Europe and Central Asia signed.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Economic Development Bank of Kazakhstan and the European Investment Bank. This document will attract investment to develop the country’s transportation potential.
It should be said that the important transportation project in Eurasia was the construction of the Western Europe-Western China road according to the rules of international financial organizations.
Within the framework of this project, 3 thousand kilometers of roads were built throughout the territory of Kazakhstan. Most of them have already been integrated into the Trans-Caspian transport route.
There are currently 14 more promising road projects planned for implementation in Kazakhstan, where European investors are invited to participate. .
