Nicolas Maduro emphasized in the words that were published through the Venezuelan state television network: the process of the emergence of the new world is irreversible.
The “old world” marked by “invasions, genocides and wars” is giving way to the new world of BRICS, which is “now emerging,” according to the Venezuelan president, according to the RT website.
In May last year (2023/Khordad), Maduro expressed the country’s desire to join BRICS, which is a mechanism for economic cooperation and development with a multi-center global approach.
Following Maduro’s expression of interest, the governments of China and Russia announced their support for the plan of Venezuela joining this group.
In early January, Maduro emphasized the importance of BRICS for the creation of a multipolar world and announced: Venezuela intends to consolidate its definitive entry into the BRICS group of countries.
Julio Chávez, a member of the Venezuelan Parliament from the ruling United Socialist Party (Partido Socialista Unido) also announced earlier: the final membership of Caracas in the BRICS group will allow the country’s economy under US and European Union sanctions to get out of better conditions. Investing in strategic businesses will be beneficial.
