Fox News reported that pharmacies across the United States are experiencing delays in filling prescriptions due to a cyber attack on one of the nation’s largest healthcare technology companies.
Change Healthcare, which manages drug orders and payments for patients across the United States, said in a statement that it experienced “a network outage related to a cybersecurity issue and experts are working to address it.” “As soon as we became aware of the external threat and in order to protect the information of our partners and patients, we took immediate measures to disconnect the systems to prevent further impact… as soon as it became available,” a company official emphasized.
