The person in charge of the POW case in the Zionist army resigned

The Hebrew media reported the resignation of the representative of the Israeli army in the negotiating team of this regime in the case of prisoners.

Hebrew-language sources reported that Nitsan Alon, the representative of the Israeli army in the negotiation team related to the prisoners case, due to the insistence of Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of this regime, to prevent the expansion of the powers of the negotiating team. He resigned.

Channel 13 of the Zionist regime’s TV quoted security officials as saying: Alon’s decision was made after hard work over the past five months. His level of frustration with Israel’s handling of the prisoners’ case has reached its peak.

These officials emphasized: Nitsan Alon feels that the political officials are not fulfilling all the duties that they should do for the prisoner exchange deal.

Benjamin Netanyahu disappointed the Israeli negotiating team in the case of prisoners and opposed the expansion of its powers. Now this case is shrouded in uncertainty.

Channel “Kan 11” of Zionist TV wrote on Saturday that expanding the authority of the negotiating team is a necessity. A number of ministers and those in charge of this case had asked for more powers, but Netanyahu refused. This means that when the situation reaches a stage where the negotiating team must respond to specific issues, it will not have the authority to do so.

This channel claimed that Hamas wants stagnation in the case of prisoners and wants to intensify conflicts on different fronts instead of realizing the deal before Ramadan. Hamas wants the end of the war as a condition of the prisoner exchange deal.

According to the report of this network, officials of the security organization in the negotiation file, such as Mossad head David Barnia, Shabak head Ronen Barr and Nitsan Alon, discussed with War Minister Yoav Galant on Wednesday about the need to expand the powers of the negotiating team.

In this meeting, they discussed creative approaches to progress in prisoner exchange negotiations. Following this meeting, Netanyahu rejected the request of the negotiating team.

According to the reports that were published in mid-February, the trip of the negotiating delegation of the Zionist regime to Cairo witnessed a crisis due to the opposition to the expansion of the powers of this delegation. Netanyahu asked this delegation to listen only and not give any answer. Nitsan Alon had told Netanyahu that he had new plans that he would present in Cairo, but Netanyahu had refused. That’s why Alon refused to travel to Cairo.

Zionist sources expressed concern about Netanyahu’s policy, which limits the activity of the Israeli delegation in the negotiation process, and its consequences. Reducing the powers of negotiators creates an empty circle of negotiations and endless trips to negotiate with mediators without responding to mediators’ questions or suggestions in a timely manner.

American officials previously warned that Netanyahu’s failure to exchange prisoners with Hamas for domestic political reasons would mean a direct confrontation with the White House.
