Signing a 55-point memorandum of understanding between Iran and Afghanistan for cooperation in the field of agriculture

, following the visit of the high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad to Afghanistan and consultations between the two sides, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between “Prime Minister Osmani”, the deputy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Taliban government, and “Alireza Mohajer”, the deputy of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad in Kabul.
According to the announcement published by the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan, this memorandum has 55 articles on cooperation in the fields of plant protection and quarantine, research, soil science, agriculture , alternative cultivation of poppy, irrigation, agricultural infrastructure, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry research, support to the private sector, agricultural institutions, medicine and employee training have been signed.
At the signing ceremony of this agreement, “Hassan Kazemi Qomi”, Iran’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, “Maryam Jalili Moghadam”, head of the plant protection organization of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, and a number of experts from Iran’s agriculture and livestock sector were present.
This memorandum was made during the visit of the high-ranking delegation of Iran, consisting of the officials of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, after several days of talks between the heads and experts of the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad of Iran. Action should be initiated in this field.
