The first ship to cross the humanitarian maritime corridor from Cyprus to Gaza arrived at its destination on Friday. This ship is carrying 200 tons of food provided by the non-governmental organizations Open Arms and World Central Kitchen (WCK).
According to AFP, this ship carrying rice, flour, beans, canned vegetables and protein materials left the port of Larnaca, Cyprus on Tuesday. It is currently unclear how long it will take to unload the aid and when it can be distributed to civilians in the Gaza Strip.

American officials announced that the construction of this sea corridor (temporary dock) will probably take 60 days. According to them, the sea corridor will include a temporary floating port and dock where humanitarian aid can be sent and then transported by ship to Gaza.
