report Mehr News Agency quoted SANA, Syrian President Bashar Assad congratulated Vladimir Putin on his victory in the Russian presidential election.
Bashar Assad announced in his congratulatory message: I congratulate you on your victory and re-election as the president of Russia with an absolute majority of votes.
He said: This is proof of the high trust of the Russian people in you, your policies and strategic views, which are based on the interests of the people and based on the important position that Russia has always been in the world.
Bashar Assad continued to wish his Russian counterpart success in his responsibilities and duties.
He emphasized on strengthening the obvious relations between Syria and Russia.
