North Korea: Kishida wants to meet with Kim
The North Korean leader's sister said today (Monday): Kishida recently expressed his desire to meet with Kim Jong Un through another communication channel. |
Kim Yo-jong, the sister of the North Korean leader, said that the improvement of bilateral relations between Japan and North Korea depends on whether Tokyo can make practical political decisions.
According to the Reuters news agency, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un also continued: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida should know that, just because he wants to and has decided, it does not mean that he can meet Kim Jong-un or the leader of our country. He will meet him.
He added: What is clear is that when Japan opposes Pyongyang and violates its sovereign rights, it is considered our enemy and will become part of the target.
Kishida said that he wants to talk with Kim Jong Un without any preconditions and is personally overseeing the efforts to hold the first meeting between the leaders of the two countries in the last 20 years.
Kim Jong Un’s sister, who is also active in North Korea’s ruling party, said last month that Kishida might come to Pyongyang one day.
Kim Yo Jong also said: If Japan makes a political decision to provide a new path to improve relations based on mutual respect and respectful behavior, I think the two countries can have a new future ahead of them.
