Prohibition of the general purchase of Zionist goods by the Brussels City Council
The Brussels city council banned the public purchase of goods made in illegal Zionist settlements. |
The crimes of the Zionist regime are so great that despite the widespread censorship of the brutal news of this regime in the western media, people are still angry about this issue and the campaign to boycott goods produced in the occupied territories is expanding every day.
According to Al Jazeera, the city council of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, announced today (Tuesday) the ban on the general purchase of goods produced in illegal Zionist settlements in the West Bank of the Jordan River.
The decision on this matter was approved by the Brussels City Council late last night with a majority of votes, and now it is going to be officially implemented.
This measure requires local authorities to ensure that their public purchases for the city do not benefit companies that do not respect international, human rights, and environmental laws.
In 2015, the European Union presented a new guide on the labeling of products produced in the illegal settlements of the Zionist regime in the West Bank.
The European Union believes that based on the UN Security Council resolution that calls for a two-state solution for the formation of an independent Palestinian state, all the settlements built in the West Bank by the Zionist regime are illegal.
This happens while last week Betzalel Smotrich, the right-wing Zionist economy minister, announced the acquisition of another 800 hectares of land in the West Bank for the purpose of building new Zionist settlements.
The Zionist regime has now invested billions of dollars in the West Bank and 700,000 Zionists (equivalent to 10% of the population of this regime) live in West Bank settlements.
According to the solution of the two governments, Israel takes over 78% of the Palestinian land and the remaining 22% in Gaza and the West Bank goes to the Palestinians. However, the Zionists do not want to give them this small amount of the Palestinian homeland either.
