Russia: America is the cause of paralysis of the Security Council regarding Gaza

On Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized the positions of the United States in the UN Security Council regarding Gaza, which led to the “paralysis” of this council.

According to Fars International News Agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday that America is using its veto right in the Security Council to thwart efforts to end the bloodshed in the Middle East.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement posted on its website: “All UN representatives jointly call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and an end to this inhuman collective punishment and the suffering of women and children.” And the people have become old.”

The statement continued: “However, the Security Council cannot fulfill this direct task and thanks to the position of only one country, the United States It is still paralyzed.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry has also stated that Israel is fully obliged to comply with all international laws in the Palestinian territories, including Gaza.

The United States and its allies have so far vetoed three resolutions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Russia and China, on the other hand, have vetoed another resolution introduced by America.

US officials have said they support “humanitarian pauses” but are not in favor of a ceasefire because it would benefit Hamas at this point.
