Politico: The Pentagon has no money to strengthen its forces in the Middle East
An American publication reported that the Pentagon does not have enough financial resources to strengthen its military presence in the West Asian region. |
According to Fars News Agency International Group, “Paltico” magazine reported on Tuesday evening that the US Department of Defense does not have enough financial resources to strengthen its military presence in the West Asian region.
Paltico, while referring to the US military aid to the Zionist regime in the Gaza war, wrote that the lack of consensus in Congress to approve the military budget for the new year is due to this.
The report further states that the Pentagon currently only has a limited amount of funds allocated in the last fiscal year’s budget because the new budget for this year has not yet been approved.
Politico then quoted US military spokesman Chris Sherwood as saying: “The situation in the Middle East requires extraordinary measures that force the Pentagon to reallocate funds from other spending areas, reducing appropriations for the preparation, deployment and training of forces.”
Accordingly, Sherwood said that because of this, a number of US Defense Department programs may be reduced or canceled.
On the other hand The anonymous American official claimed that the President of the United States has warned the Zionist regime about the next step of this regime’s actions to start military operations in southern Gaza. (more details)
