Amir Abdollahian’s meeting with the official of the World Health Organization

According to the international group Tasnim news agency, Amir Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, met with Mrs. Hanan Referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, Balkhi, the regional director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean region, emphasized the need to play the role of international organizations, especially the World Health Organization, to send humanitarian aid and medicine to Gaza.

Ms. Hanan Balkhi, the regional director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean region, while expressing his satisfaction with his trip to Iran, pointed out and emphasized the efforts of the World Health Organization in cooperation with international partners to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip due to the crimes and violence of the Zionist regime. These efforts have not been fruitful so far.

He expressed hope that with the cessation of violence and crimes of the regime in Gaza, an opportunity will be provided for the provision of humanitarian and healthcare aid and access to vaccines, medicine and food for the Palestinian people.

In this meeting, Ms. Balkhi explained the plans of the World Health Organization in the field of health development, combating infectious diseases, increasing public awareness and education in the world, especially in the West Asia and East Mediterranean region, and praised the progress and efficiency. The health system and the capabilities and good experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of health and treatment, especially during the period of combating and controlling the Corona epidemic, called for the use of the experiences and achievements of our country in promoting health at the regional level.
