The American President's doctor explained about some media reports about the visit of a Parkinson's disease specialist to the White House.

After press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre refused to explain the physical condition of US President Joe Biden, Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor, released a letter explaining why a Parkinson’s specialist visited the White House.


Biden’s doctor clarified that Parkinson’s specialist Dr. Kevin Cunard was chosen for the president’s annual physical not because he is a movement disorder specialist, but because he is a highly skilled neurologist at Walter Reed. (Military Hospital) and throughout the Ministry of Military Health. 

He added that Cunard has been a neurology consultant in the White House Medical Unit since 2012.

Kevin O’Connor also said that Cunard is the only neurologist who has examined Biden three times since he took office, and visiting patients at the White House is something that Dr. Cunard has been doing for 10 years.


Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing White House visitors, that Parkinson’s disease specialist Kevin Cunard visited the White House a total of eight times between March and July of this year, including one meeting with President Joe Biden’s personal physician.
