Europe bypasses Hungary because of Ukraine

The European Union is trying to overcome Hungary's opposition to aid to Ukraine.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to Bloomberg, European countries are trying to somehow bypass Hungary’s opposition to continue sending aid to Ukraine.

Bloomberg news agency, quoting knowledgeable sources, reported that a number of European Union countries, including France and Germany, are opposed to the plan of the European External Action Service to bypass Hungary’s veto. They have expressed concern and protest in providing aid to Ukraine.

Earlier, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell announced that Hungary is still blocking the allocation of 6.6 billion euros as compensation to EU member states. Europe is to provide arms and ammunition to Ukraine.

A European source also said that the European Union’s foreign policy service has submitted a proposal to the member states so that the European Union can bypass Hungary’s veto.
