A top US diplomat said on Wednesday that political polarization is certain to get worse even under Trump.
Jatras said: Let’s be honest. Americans no longer live in one country.
The senior American diplomat said that for some Americans, Trump is a savior, but for others he is a disgrace.
Jatras warned that the current gap between the people of his country, which has been increasing for years, will become deeper than before.
